Information Technology Move

We contact this firm after a horrible experience with another large, well know moving company. They were referred to us from a collocation facility and a managed services partner we have worked with, in recent months. Clarke, Duncan & Morris came in and did a thorough assessment of our move, planned the physical equipment migration and directly interacted with Quantum, HP and NetApp representatives to ensure that the racks and libraries were moved properly and securely. They also arranged a team of cabling and dismount and remount with Comserve USA. They helped us evaluate the replacement cost of the equipment, and secured a policy to cover our critical technology infrastructure during transit and handling. Their methods of packing and wrapping our equipment was unlike anything we have ever seen in the past. We were surprised at the level of care and preemptive planning and risk mitigation they provided prior to the migration. There were solutions to gaps and oversights brought to the project committee, by this vendor that may have been overlooked. The project(s) were successful and they served a critical part of that success.

I used this company for moving our office and purchasing office furniture. I chose them over the other bidders for three reasons. First, they gave me information early that would make things easier as I went along. Second they assured me that one of the companies’ principals would be on site at every major step. And third their pricing was competitive. I got more than I was promised. We wanted to move at night to minimize the impact on our operations. Both of the owners of Clarke Duncan & Morris were there to insure everything went smoothly. Was everything perfect. Of course not, on a move of this size something always crops up. But, having the right people on site, fixed everything quickly. And everything happened on schedule and on budget.
